<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display unit capable of providing a user with an image captured from a view point different from an angle where a user's head is actually oriented. <P>SOLUTION: If a head inclination angle, that is an upward/downward inclination angel of a head to a horizontal plane, is determined to be a depression angle, the image display unit changes a view point in accordance with the inclination angle downward from the horizontal plane, further changes the changed view point toward an imaging axis orienting to a rotation angle different from a head rotation angle, that is a rotation angle around a vertical axis of the user's head to a preset reference direction, and generates an overhead view image from the further changed view point, by using an overhead view image in which the view point is set to upper side of the user, thereby providing the user with the image. If the head inclination angle is determined not to be a depression angle, the image display unit generates an image captured from an imaging axis oriented to a rotation angle different from the head rotation angle, by using an image captured from at least one axis as the imaging axis among a plurality of axes radially extending from the user to surroundings from viewed above, thereby providing the user with the image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
