摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify a failure spot in Ethernet regardless of the presence or absence of MAC address learning information in a bridge device. <P>SOLUTION: A failure management device classifies a MEP into a communication disconnection detection group or communication disconnection non-detection group for each VLAN constructed in a bridge network. The failure management device identifies ports on routes between MEPs in each of the communication disconnection detection group and communication disconnection non-detection group, and a transmission side port on a route directed from a MEP belonging to the communication disconnection detection group to a MEP belonging to the communication disconnection non-detection group as spots in which conduction is retained in the network.
