<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove iron (Fe) and aluminum (Al) as impurities to a trace amount from an alcohol such as isopropyl alcohol or the like having a water content concentration of 1,000 ppm or less. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus includes an ion exchange means 11 for ion-exchanging an alcohol and a filter 12 having a pore size of 20 nm or less for filtrating the ion-exchanged alcohol.
