<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amplification device and a transmission device that implement improved efficiency while suppressing a distortion of an output signal. <P>SOLUTION: In an embodiment, the amplification device includes a plurality of amplification circuits different in saturated output power. In the embodiment, the amplification device also includes: a detector for detecting an envelope signal of an input signal input into an input terminal; a plurality of comparators for comparing a signal voltage of the envelope signal detected by the detector with respectively different reference voltages; and a switching control section for selecting any one of the plurality of amplification circuits on the basis of results of comparison by the plurality of comparators. In the embodiment, the amplification device further includes a switching section for connecting the input terminal to an input of the amplification circuit selected by the switching control section and connecting an output of the amplification circuit selected by the switching control section to an output terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
