<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screening method of secondary metabolites which cocultures a microorganism belonging to actinomycetes and a microorganism containing mycolic acid in a cell surface thereof to make the actinomycetes produce new secondary metabolites or to increase the production of the secondary metabolites, and a production method and culture of the secondary metabolites. <P>SOLUTION: The microorganism containing mycolic acid stimulates the actinomycetes from the outside, and the actinomycetes activates gene expression of a secondary metabolic biosyntheses gene cluster in response to the stimulation. A secondary metabolic biosyntheses gene cluster derived from a foreign microorganism is inserted into a chromosome of the actinomycetes or retained on a plasmid thereof. The prepared actinomycetes and the microorganism containing mycolic acid are cocultured to make the actinomycetes produce new secondary metabolites or to increase the production of the secondary metabolites. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
