<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a proper execution time for a color shift amount detection with less shift detection operation performed by suspending printing operation than the operation in a conventional technique, without needing to newly prepare a temperature sensor. <P>SOLUTION: After starting printing, an image is printed one page by one page, the colored pixel number in the printed image is counted, and the number is added to the pixel count value accumulated for each page until the present time after clearing it once in execution of a color shift correction of a subsequent stage so as to store it as a new accumulated pixel count value (S102). It is confirmed whether the accumulated pixel count value is beyond a predetermined threshold as a measured value corresponding to a time for performing a color correction (detection) and the execution time for a color shift correction is determined (S103). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
