<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve gear device of an internal combustion engine, which bears parts other than both ends of a drive shaft to control the flexural deformation of the drive shaft, minimizing the difference between a target valve lift amount and an actual valve lift amount. <P>SOLUTION: The valve gear device of the internal combustion engine includes: a drive shaft 4 which is arranged rotatably straddling over a plurality of cylinders and to which a rotational force is transmitted from a crankshaft; drive cams 5 which is provided to the drive shaft for each cylinder, a transmission mechanism 8 which is provided to each cylinder for converting the rotary motion of the drive cams into rocking motion; a rocking cam construct 7 which is provided to each cylinder with the drive shaft inserted into the inner circumference thereof for opening/closing an engine valve by the rocking force transmitted from the transmission mechanism; and a cylindrical plain bearing 43 which is provided at a part between rocking cam constructs in the axial direction of the drive shaft, with its inner circumferential surface contacting to the outer circumferential surface of the drive shaft and its outer circumferential surface contacting to the bearing groove 42c of the main bracket 42a of a second bearing 42 provided to the engine and to the inner circumferential surface of the bearing groove 1d. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
