<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle riding type vehicle capable of protecting a shift actuator from obstacle while keeping appearance fine even when the shift actuator is installed in an outside surface of lower section of power unit. <P>SOLUTION: The saddle riding type vehicle, which includes a body frame F, and power unit P supported by the body frame F in which a transmission M and its shift mechanism 52 are installed inside, moreover provides a shift actuator 75 operating the shift mechanism 52 in the power unit P, wherein: the shift actuator 75 is installed in the side surface of the lower section of the power unit P; and actuator guarding means 80 for protecting this shift actuator 75 from the obstacle is composed by a guarding frame 81 connected to the body frame F so that it may extend in front/rear directions beneath the shift actuator 75, and guarding member 82 formed so that it may cover a lower surface and the outside surface of the shift actuator 75 by being connected to this guarding frame 81. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
