<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dramatically improve reliability. <P>SOLUTION: A temporary holding part 5 holds the vicinity of a right end of a bill BL by a first upper tape wound on a first upper reel and a first holding part arranged with the bill BL interposed on the first upper tape, and holds the vicinity of a left end of the bill BL by a second upper tape wound on a second upper reel and a second holding part arranged with the bill BL interposed on the second upper tape. Thus, the temporary holding part 5 conveys the bill BL to a conveyance guide 44 while preventing the bill BL from being turned up in an upper direction or lower direction from a gap during its conveyance in a space SP section, and delivers the bill BL to the outside of the temporary holding part 5.
