METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING WOOD-BASED MOLDED ARTICLE, AND WOOD-BASED MOLDED ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a wood-based molded article, capable of keeping down a molding pressure even when the mixing ratio of a woody material is high.

SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: (1) adjusting the mixing amounts of a woody material and a thermoplastic resin so that the content of the woody material is 70 wt.% or more relative to the total weight of the woody material and thermoplastic resin; (2) kneading a material including the woody material, the thermoplastic resin and the silicone polymer having a functional group having reactivity with a hydroxyl group to obtain a kneaded material; and (3) supplying the kneaded material to a mold followed by molding.
