[Problem] To provide a feature for reducing impact during a collision received by a power controller disposed inside the front compartment. [Solution] An automobile (100) is provided with a power controller (4) and a device (2) inside the front compartment. The power controller (4) and device (2) are disposed in a line in the lateral direction of the automobile. A corner part or projection of the power controller (4) faces the side surface of the device (2). The side surface of the device (2) makes contact with the corner part of the power controller (4) when the automobile is involved in a collision. The side surface of the device (2) is weaker than the corner part of the power controller (4) and the device (2) therefore breaks first. The device (2) acts as a cushioning material and the damage taken by the power controller (4) is reduced.
