The sprayer (1) has a conduit (3) with discharge openings for dispensing a spray-like material, where the discharge openings are provided with nozzles (5). Measuring units detect deflection of a linkage (2) relative to a vibration-free, theoretical reference position. A controller is designed for regulating or controlling engagement of one of the nozzles, to influence the dispensing rate of the material at the nozzle as a function of deflection of the linkage. The measuring units are arranged relative to the ground for detecting an absolute position of the conduit. The linkage is made of composite material e.g. carbon fiber, glass fiber and/or aramid(RTM: man-made organic polymer) fiber.
