<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator that can preferably maintain weight balance between a car and a balance weight while avoiding the complication of structure. <P>SOLUTION: The elevator 1 includes: the car 3 and the balance weight 5; a connection driver 7 that supports the car and the balance weight in a suspending manner and connects the car and the balance weight so as to be moved upward and downward in a direction opposite to each other; a balance flexible body 11 which is suspended so as to be supported by the balance weight while one end of which slacks; and a flexible body drive device 13 for driving the balance flexible body so as to increase and decrease a support amount of the balance flexible body supported by the balance weight. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
