<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body rear structure that can effectively use a dead space in front of a luggage box formed to ensure the stroke of a vehicle seat in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle, without change of the accommodating amount of luggage even when the position of the vehicle seat in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle is changed, and can keep the luggage accommodating amount constant. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle body rear structure has a vehicle seat 1 which is slidably movable in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle with respect to a floor 4, and a luggage box 3 is provided in a rear luggage space 2 behind the vehicle seat 1.
