<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an echo processing device in a game machine, capable of easily coping even with changes on game scenario development. <P>SOLUTION: In the echo processing device capable of executing echo processing corresponding to the size of an echo space ES formed in a virtual space VS to sound data from a sound source and outputting the sound data to a sound output means when moving a player character PC inside the echo space, the echo processing device includes: a means for measuring Z values Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, Z5 and Z6 for an object around echo reference points VP, VP1 and VP2, to be the reference of making the echo processing act, for different directions within the echo space, with the echo reference points as the reference, and obtaining their total value ZT by computation; a means for determining a reverb depth value indicating the degree of the echo processing to the sound data corresponding to the computed total value of the Z values; and a means for applying the echo processing to the sound data on the basis of the determined reverb depth value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
