<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball 2 which is excellent in identification performance, high-grade feeling, weatherability and the durability of a painted layer. <P>SOLUTION: The golf ball 2 comprises a spherical core 4, a cover 6 positioned outside the core 4, a marked layer 8 and the painted layer 10. A resin composition of the cover 6 contains complex particles. Each complex particle is composed of a core and a coated layer. The core is composed of aluminum oxide. The coated layer is composed of titanium oxide. The complex particle is formed into a flake shape. The amount of the complex particles is not smaller than 0.1 pts.mass and not larger than 15 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of a base material resin of the cover 6. The complex particles may be dispersed in the painted layer 10.
