<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type polarization plate device, an electro-optic device, an optical device and a projector, capable of preventing degradation of a reflection type polarization plate of a wire grid type, securely fixing the reflection type polarization plate against an impact or vibration, while enabling angular adjustment of the reflection type polarization plate to a reflection type optical modulation device, to improve a contrast by the angular adjustment. <P>SOLUTION: A reflection type polarization plate device 5 comprises: a reflection type polarization plate 341 for transmitting first linear polarization light and reflecting second linear polarization light substantially orthogonal to the first linear polarization light; a holding member 50 for accommodating and holding the reflection type polarization plate 341; and a first energization member 51 for energizing a glass surface 3412 of the reflection type polarization plate 341 accommodated in the holding member 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
