<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight powder composition for heat insulation castables, advantaged by higher heat resistance, excellent in heat insulation, and having low thermal conductivity compared with the prior art. <P>SOLUTION: The powder composition for heat insulation castables comprises alumina-zirconia hollow particles and an alumina cement, wherein the alumina-zirconia hollow particles comprise 67-99 mass% Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>and 1-33 mass% ZrO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, and the total amount of the above substances account for more than 96 mass%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
