A thermoformer whereby processes from thermoform shaping to mold release can be carried out rapidly, efficiently, and continuously, the thermoformer being characterized in comprising: as an air-compressing means, a first mechanism for delivering a compressed gas; and a second mechanism for taking in the gas that has been delivered to a compressed air space and discharging the gas to the exterior, the two mechanisms being integrated with each other, the thermoformer being configured so that 1) the structure of the first mechanism is designed to deliver the gas by passing the gas through a plurality of air-delivery openings from a distribution space within the air-compressing means or that 2) the structure of the second mechanism is designed to take in the gas through a plurality of air intake openings, receive the gas into a gas-collecting space within the air-compressing means, and guide the gas to the exterior, at least one of the structures being used to also place a cooling means around a mold to allow the gas to proceed to an upper space of the mold after compressed-air shaping and to cool a shaped article.
