摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency upon reading an original image even when the original image is read with leaving an original size unknown at an original mixed loading mode compared to a case where all image data are once accumulated in an image memory and processed.

SOLUTION: An original size prediction section 61 predicts an original size of an original which is to be read by an image reading section 50 when the original mixed loading mode is set. A normal processing section 62 performs various image processing on image data which is read, on the basis of a predicted original size. An accumulation processing section 63 accumulates the image data which is read in the image memory 64 by a readable maximum size and performs the various image processing on the basis of the original size measured from the transported original. An image data selection transfer section 65 selects the image data of the normal processing section 62 when the measured actual original size is matched with the predicted original size, and selects the image data of the accumulation processing section 63 when the sizes are not matched.
