<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable connecting device capable of enhancing the tensile strength of a cable, and to provide a cable assembly including the same. <P>SOLUTION: A cable connecting device C includes a terminal 200 which can come into contact with core wires 11a, 11b projecting from the first ends of cables 10a, 10b, a base 100 provided with the terminal 200, and a clamper 400 which can be clamped to the first ends of the cables 10a, 10b.
