PURPOSE: A password input method, a device thereof, and a recording medium therefor are provided to maximize the security of a password by preventing the inference of the password even if another person sees a password input process. CONSTITUTION: A memory unit(410) stores a symbol and a password of different patterns. A pattern combining unit(420) combines unused patterns by using the symbol and the password. A display control unit(430) outputs a display control signal to display the combined symbols on a determining area of a password selection screen. An input signal determining unit(440) determines an input value of input data. A mapping unit(450) determines accordance between the input value and a password stored in a memory unit during password input operation.
