<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable speed transmission capable of staging engine outputs into a plurality of speed ranges and continuously changing speeds for output at each speed range, in a state in which speed changes between the ranges can be stably performed. <P>SOLUTION: A speed change output unit includes four transmission mechanisms provided across a plurality of output units and output shafts to transmit the driving power of a plurality of output units in a planetary transmission unit to an output shaft of the speed change output unit and to vary the rotation speed of the output shaft, and four clutches provided for the respective four transmission mechanisms. The four clutches comprise a first-speed clutch, a second-speed clutch, a third-speed clutch, and a fourth-speed clutch. A control means is provided for switching the four clutches individually between an on state and an off state so that the driving force is outputted from the output shaft in four different speed ranges, and for performing a speed change operation of a continuously variable transmission unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
