A rear view mirror system, a vehicle service background, and a corresponding information processing method. The information processing method of the rear view mirror system comprises the steps of: the rear view mirror system calculating, according to GPS information obtained at regular time, a moving distance of a vehicle, the GPS information at least comprising previous GPS information and current GPS information; determining whether the moving distance is within a preset range; and reporting the current GPS information of the vehicle to a vehicle service platform when the moving distance is within the preset range. The information processing method saves resources for communication between the rear view mirror system and the vehicle service background while meeting the requirement of identifying the location of the running vehicle.
