<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of a laser source due to conduction of an overcurrent. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a first laser source LD1; a first light quantity adjusting circuit 71 which controls the light quantity of the first laser source LD1 to a target value; a second laser source LD2; a second light quantity adjusting circuit 72 which controls the light quantity of the second laser source LD2 to a target value; a light receiving sensor 32 which detects a first laser beam L1 and outputs a BD signal; a laser control part 55 which performs an adjustment sequence in which a first lighting step which turns on the first laser source LD1 and a second lighting step which turns on the second laser source LD2 on condition that the BD signal is detected from the light receiving sensor 32 in this order, before scanning of the first laser beam L1 over a photoreceptor drum 10; a light-out time detecting part 57 which detects light-out time of the second laser source LD2 when the adjustment sequence is performed; and a prohibition part 55 which prohibits lighting of the second laser source LD2 when the light-out time detected by the light-out time detecting part 57 reaches a set time Tu. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
