The binding's base has a vertical pivot (7) on which a body rocks. The clamps (11) are held on the body by a horizontal longitudinal rod (13), passing through a hole (10) in the pivot. It is screwed into an adjustable nut (14), sliding in a hole (15) in the front of the body. A spring (16), resting on the nut, presses a piston (17) against the pivot's flat surface. The body is kept centred on the ski, before the pressure exerted by the boot reaches a predetermined level, by a bolt (18) engaged in a vertical groove in the back of the pivot. |
