A sprung locking device (10) is provided between the guide tube (12) and the end cap (14) of a nuclear fuel assembly. A groove (26) is cut in the periphery of the sleeve (22) at the end of the guide tube (12). A spring (20) in the groove (26) pushes back a flexible retaining ring (16) towards the exterior. The outer edge of the retaining ring (16) is held in a cylindrical housing (18) provided in the hole crossing the end cap (14) thus locking the guide tube (12) and the end cap (14) in their mounted position. <IMAGE> |
