<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus, a method and a program for creating state transition data that are capable of creating data for appropriately calculating the amount of power that an image forming apparatus consumes. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for creating state transition data includes a power consumption value receiving means for periodically receiving a power consumption value from a measuring instrument connected to the image forming apparatus and capable of measuring the power consumption value; a job sending means for sending instructions to execute a job to the image forming apparatus; a recording means for recording in a storage means information indicating the relationship between the power consumption value received upon the sending of the instruction to execute the job and the time when the power consumption value is received; a state transition detection means for detecting the transition of state of the image forming apparatus that matches the execution of the job according to the information recorded in the storage means; and a state transition data creation means for creating the state transition data indicating the power consumed and the required time for each state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
