PURPOSE: A display substrate and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce failure by making different the layer structure of a display area and that of a pad area. CONSTITUTION: A first through hole of a first insulating layer(110) exposes a part of a drain electrode of a thin film transistor. A second through hole of the first insulating layer exposes a part of a common line. A third through hole of the second insulating layer(120) exposes a part of a drain electrode. A fourth through hole of the second insulation layer exposes a part of the common line. A fifth through hole of the third insulating layer(130) exposes a part of the drain electrode. A sixth through hole of the third insulating layer exposes a part of the common line.
