<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monolithic organic porous material of a new structure useful as an adsorbent and an ion exchanger with low pressure loss when a fluid such as water and gas is permeated therethrough, and to provide a method for producing it and a monolithic organic porous ion exchanger. <P>SOLUTION: This organic porous material has a continuous macrovoid structure where the macrovoids are overlapped with each other, and the overlapped portions each makes an opening with an average radius of 0.1-25 mm. The apparent skeleton of the continuous macrovoid is a co-continuous structure composed of a three-dimensionally continuous skeleton of 0.8-40 μm thickness comprising an aromatic vinyl polymer containing a 0.3-2.5 mol% crosslinked structural unit among the total structural unit, and a three-dimensionally continuous void of a 4-100 μm radius between the skeletons.
