The device (1) has a movement transmission mechanism comprising two co-operating functional parts (5, 6). One of the parts is mechanically connected with a driving/moving part of an actuator (4) e.g. pneumatic/hydraulic jack. The other part is kinematically connected to a movable functional unit (2) in a hollow case or body (3'), and moved in a discontinuous, alternative or cyclic manner. The former part directly/indirectly engages with the latter part in one of stable positions/states of the unit so as to realize or contribute to blocking of the latter part in a mechanical position.
