A launch monitor system (10) including a light source (42) and at least one camera unit (36, 38) with an electronic shutter. The camera unit (36, 38) captures at least one image of an object (41) in flight when the shutter is activated. A computer (42, 243) receives signals related to the image and computes launch conditions for the object. The system also computes (S109) and displays object trajectories (S110) from the computed launch conditions and a predetermined set of lift and drag parameters which account for the characteristics of the object and the atmospheric conditions.
