<p>OF THE DISCLOSUREA rotary sputtering cathode (10), including a tubular member (11) having a length in a longitudinal direction and defining an external surface (18), a first longitudinal bracket (20a) extending in the longitudinal direction along the length of the tubular member (11), and a second longitudinal bracket (20b) extending in the longitudinal direction along the length of the tubular member (11), is provided. Additional longitudinal brackets (20) (e.g., a third (20c), fourth (20d), fifth (20e), and so forth,) may also be included along the length of the tubular member (11). A target (12), which comprises a sputtering material, can be positioned such that its back surface (16) is facing the external surface (18) of the tubular member (11). The first longitudinal bracket (20a) and the second longitudinal bracket (20b) removably hold the first target (12) therebetween such that the first back surface (16) of the first target (12) is facing the external surface (18) of the tubular member (11).
