A broadcasting system, a broadcasting receiver and a viewing restriction method are provided to transmit a video signal by intercepting a rating code according to your preset ratings limitations. A viewing restriction method comprises: setting and storing user preset ratings (S101); comparing the your preset ratings limitations with the rating code of a broadcasting stream(S105) and controlling output scene or scene section based on the above comparison result(S106).
