PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate effectively an RF magnetic field by providing radial electrical paths, where electricity of form an RF magnetic field flows in a space where a subject is housed, a ring electrical paths connecting the ends of the radial electrical paths at positions farther from the space than the radial electrical paths are. SOLUTION: A body coil section, having a plurality of mutually parallel electrical paths 612, is provided in the inside of a nearly cylindrical gradient coil section provided in the internal space of a static magnetic field generating section. Both ends of a plurality of electrical paths 612 are connected by ring electrical paths 614 and 614', and sections formed by connections of the plurality of electric routes 612 are provided with capacitors. In one of these electrical paths 614 and 614', an RF signal feeding section which is also an RF extracting section is provided at two positions whose bearings from the center differ by 90 deg., thereby making the plurality of electrical paths 612 contribute to the generation of an RF excited magnetic field and an RF magnetic field capable of being generated efficiently. |
