A light guide plate and a back light unit of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) using the light guide plate are provided to enhance brightness uniformity by improving darkening of an edge of the back light unit. A light guide plate(100) includes a plate(101) and a plurality of prisms(102). The plate has a plurality of faces including a bottom face. The plurality of prisms are formed in at least one edge region of the bottom face of the plate. The width of the edge is smaller than 1/10 of the width of the plate. The length of the edge is smaller than 1/10 of the length of the plate. The width and height of each of the prisms are smaller than 100 micrometer. |
