PURPOSE: A ginseng cleaning method is provided to reduce the loss of root, and to incur no damage of skin by removing soil or remaining foreign substances in the original shape of ginseng and by transferring the ginseng on a transfer conveyor. CONSTITUTION: Ginseng is placed between an upper steel net conveyor(110) and a lower steel net conveyor(120). High pressure spray nozzles are positioned on the upper and lower sides of the ginseng transferred horizontally. An up-and-down movement member is installed in a high pressure spray part equipped with the high pressure spray nozzles. The high pressure spray part is installed with multiple upper washing water pipes(210) and lower washing water pipes(220) with a fixed gap between the conveyor space. The up-and-down movement member is composed with a height control motor(300), a horizontal shaft, worm gears, rack gear shafts, and an upper washing water pipe frame. Rotary power of the horizontal shaft in the up-and-down movement member is delivered to the two worm gears, which are connected to both ends of the horizontal shaft and bolt-fixed on the upper part of a housing(100). Rotary power of the worm gears is delivered to four rack gear shafts, and is changed into up and down motion. The upper washing water frame is moved up and down by the operation of the height control motor. A right and left rocking member comprises a right and left rocking motor(400), a crank, a slide shaft, and a connecting bar. The right-and-left rocking motor is mounted on the upper washing water pipe frame. The crank rotates by the right-and-left rocking motor. The crank gives rocking rectilinear motion to the slide shaft fixed to the upper washing water pipe frame. Soil and remaining foreign substances are flowed into a foreign substance storage(610) by a foreign substance supporting board(620). The washing solution without foreign substances passes through under the foreign substance supporting board, and is stored at the washing solution storage(600). |
