Process for producing an extractor for moving non-point targets in a sequence of readjusted images Rn(i,j), comprising a phase of construction of a sequence of difference images Dn(i,j) as a function of the measurement of the intensity variations of pixels produced between consecutive images of Rn(i,j), considered at regularly-spaced time intervals and a sequence of filtered difference images Fn(i,j), obtained by spatial filtering of Dn, characterised in that a sequence Gn(i,j) is constructed by a nonlinear operation of combinations in the sequence Fn(i,j), these combinations being evaluated along regularly-distributed time directions.
