A method for diagnosing non-compact cardiomyopathy provides for magnetic resonance tomography. The diagnosis of non-compact cardiomyopathy is based on the following findings: bilayer structure of the thickened wall of the left ventricle, compact epicardiai layer and non-compact endocardial layer, absence of the concomitant pathology associated with altered myocardial structure, detection of numerous extended trabecules with deep intertrabecular spaces, and N/C ratio ≥ children aged below one year, ≥ 1,6 - in children aged over one year, ≥ 2,3 – in adults (wherein N – thickness of non-compact layer, C – thickness of compact layer of the left ventricle). |
