<p>In order to provide a battery module that has a high capacity and that can easily secure high fire retarding properties, this battery module has: a battery pack that layers a plurality of sheet-shaped battery monoblocs; a plate-shaped substrate having an obverse surface and a reverse surface, which are the two primary surfaces; and a peripheral partition (211) that is provided standing from the substrate at the periphery of the obverse surface or the reverse surface, and that is formed at both the obverse surface and the reverse surface.
