PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for displaying display data that is received from another device, the display device requiring no high-capacity battery and having excellent portability, and the like.

SOLUTION: A display device: receives display data from a display data transmission device; performs control for causing display means to display the received display data; on the basis of switching operation performed to switch the display data displayed by the display means to other display data, performs a transmission request for the other display data to the display data transmission device; and receives power for the display device to operate, from the display data transmission device and supplies the power to each sections.
