<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check a subject without deviating an object to be focused, in instruction of photographing preparation operation by touching down onto a touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: A touch panel detects touch operation onto a display 28. Before photographing, a system control unit 50 displays an image including a subject on a display and displays on the screen a touch icon having a predetermined processing function assigned thereto. Before photographing, a system control unit also adjusts a photographing condition and if the display touch operation is performed onto an area of the display other than an area displaying the touch icon, performs the photographing preparation operation to cause the touch icon to be not-displayed.
