PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate data transfer by setting as a basic block number an integer larger than a value obtained by dividing the sampling frequency of a data string by the basic repetition frequency of a packet, and transmitting the data string. SOLUTION: An audio link block sets a data unit in a standard reproduction speed to the value 8 composed of the third power of the value 2 and prepares one packet by the 8 pieces of data units as shown in Fig. A. In the case of transmitting digital audio signals DA by the reproduction speed which is the double of the standard reproduction speed, one packet is prepared by the 8×2 pieces (16 pieces) of the data units as shown in Fig. B. Since the sampling frequency of audio data is composed of 48 [kHz] at maximum and the basic repetition cycle of the packet is composed of 125 [×sec], the standard data unit is an integer larger than a value obtained by dividing the sampling frequency by the basic repetition frequency or the packet and is the power of 2.
