<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic device suppressing generation of interference fringes, maintaining image formation with little image defects and showing high reproducibility of thin lines. <P>SOLUTION: An electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a charge generating layer and a charge transporting layer on a conductive support. The conductive support has such a surface profile that in a graph showing the dependency of an average local height difference (Rmk) on a calculation length, the maximum (Rmk,max) of (Rmk) satisfies expression (1):Rmk,max≥0.15λT<SB POS="POST">1</SB>, where T<SB POS="POST">1</SB>represents a transmittance until a laser beam reaches the conductive support, and that in the graph, a Rmk equal to or larger than (Rmk,max) and 2/3 or more of (Rmk,max) appears in a calculation length apart from the calculation length where the maximum (Rmk,max) appears, by 0.1 time or less or 10 times or more. An interfacial profile between the i-th layer and the (i+1)-th layer of the photoreceptor satisfies expression (2), where T<SB POS="POST">i+1</SB>represents a transmittance until a laser beam reaches the i-th layer on the conductive support; and n<SB POS="POST">i</SB>and n<SB POS="POST">i+1</SB>represent refractive indices of the i-th layer and (i+1)-th layer on the conductive support, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
