The element (P) has a shaft section (1) i.e. steel case, partially comprising an axial hole, and a component (3) i.e. hexagon nut, formed with an opening i.e. hexagonal recess, for inserting a screw tool. An external thread (2) is attached to the shaft section, where the component, the shaft section and/or the thread are made of plastic. Cutting teeth are formed at the shaft section and/or at the case against the component. The axial hole is partially occupied with internal threads, and the axial hole is divided into two sections by an insulating wall. An independent claim is also included for a method for fixing a fastening element.
