Provided is a method whereby cesium ions in an aqueous solution are efficiently separated out and recovered in a short amount of time with fewer human-performed steps and less cesium waste. Also provided is a device that implements said method. Cesium ions are removed from a cesium-containing aqueous solution by preparing cesium-ion-containing magnetic particles in said solution and then filtering out or magnetically separating out said magnetic particles.
