Provided is a protective sheet for glass etching, which has excellent resistance to etching liquid ingress, excellent non-contaminating properties and excellent releasability. A protective sheet for glass etching provided by the present invention comprises a base and an adhesive layer that is provided on one surface of the base, and is bonded to a portion that is not to be etched when glass is etched in order to protect the portion not to be etched from the etching liquid. The gel fraction of an adhesive that constitutes the adhesive layer is 60% or more, and the adhesive is composed of an acrylic adhesive that is mainly composed of an acrylic polymer. The acrylic polymer is synthesized by polymerizing a monomer material that contains a monomer represented by formula of CH2=CR1COOR2 (wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and R2 represents an alkyl group) as a main monomer. The main monomer contains, as a main component, a monomer of the above-mentioned formula wherein R2 is an alkyl group having 6 or more carbon atoms.
