A completed module is made of crossbars (6) and planking (7,8) outside the tunnel and then brought in and hung at the side to one or both tunnel walls (10) and/or tunnel roof. Several of the crossbars are sandwiched in fireproof plates and some of the crossbars have an end bracket (11) whose one leg (12) is secured to the top of the crossbar and whose second leg is fixed to the wall of the tunnel. Both legs (12,15) enclose an obtuse angle (W) and the wall leg (15) is secured to the wall by a heavy-duty anchor bolt (16). The fireproof plate (17) of the side-fitted module (5,6) extends beyond the crossbar to the tunnel wall, this module being joined to the wall by means of a tunnel wall cladding (18). The module edge furthest from the wall is (19) positively joined to the adjoining module.
