PROCESS OF SEPARATION OF ISOTOPES OF SAMARIUM IN ELECTROMAGNETIC SEPARATOR WITH USE OF ION SOURCE

production of highly enriched isotopes of samarium on industrial scale. SUBSTANCE: working medium-metal samarium is placed into melting pot of ion source and is heated to vaporous state. Vapors are ionized in gaseous-discharge chamber under action of electron emission from hot cathode. Ion beams are formed by electrodes of ion-optical system, are divided and focused in magnetic field. Ions are trapped by boxes of collector. On termination of process boxes are taken away. Isotopes are removed by method of anode pickling. Enrichment by isotopes in per cent is: Sm-144=93.7; Sm-147=96.0; Sm-148= 93.6; Sm-149= 96.6; Sm-150=95.0; Sm- 152=98.6; Sm-154=98.9.
