PURPOSE: An oil seal is provided to prevent damage to a dust lip by minimizing friction and frictional force applied to the dust lip due to the interference of a shaft. CONSTITUTION: A rubber sealing member(12) covers a metal annular plate(11) to form an oil seal(10). A main lip(13) for preventing the leakage of oil and a dust lip(14) for preventing the inflow of foreign materials are installed in a shaft hole(12a) of the sealing member. The thickness of the dust lip is 0.45-0.65mm. The inner end of the dust lip is protruded to be contacted to the exterior of a shaft. The dust lip inclines at 30-60 degree from an axial reference line of the shaft passing through a shaft hole of the sealing member. |
